  • Gold Edition
  • Vista Cruiser
  • Trailmaster
  • Kingsport
  • Streamlite
  • Gulf Breeze
  • Northern Express
  • and many more

Today, we’ll give you the complete buyer’s guide to the Gulfstream RVs and products available to you. Let’s get into it!

Types of RVs

While Gulfstream offers a wide selection of different brands of RV, each with its own set of interior and exterior amenities, none of it matters if you’re only looking for a specific type of RV. Different RVs offer different capabilities for your travels and adventures. Learning to differentiate between varieties of RVs will only help you in your selection of any of the Gulfstream RVs and travel trailers that are available to you. Let’s explore the different kinds of RVs that Gulfstream offers and which brands you can find them under.

Motor Homes

The first variety of RV is a motor home. Now, when you think of RVs, Class A RVs are typically what come to mind. Class A RVs resemble a bus with a large interior living space. Gulfstream does not offer Class A RVs, instead offering Class C RVs. Gulfstream motor homes are built on a truck or van chassis. They have an attached cab where you drive the RV, and most motor homes also have an overhang over the cab that’s typically used as a sleeping area or for storage space.

Gulfstream offers two brands that are in the style of motor homes: the BT Cruiser and the Conquest Class C.

Conventional Trailers

Also known as travel trailers, conventional trailers are anywhere from 15 to 35 feet long and can be towed by any capable pickup truck or SUV. These trailers are hitched on a ball joint located at the very bottom rear of a vehicle, which is the main distinction between travel trailers and fifth wheels. Since travel trailers are trailers, they do not have an attached cab like the motor home style mentioned above.

As a result, you will need a vehicle that’s capable of towing the weight of the specific travel trailer you have in mind. On the plus side, they’re easy to detach from your vehicle, which makes camping a more streamlined experience.

If you’re looking for Gulfstream travel trailers or conventional trailers, keep these brands in mind:

  • Conquest
  • Gold Edition
  • Innsbruck
  • Kingsport
  • Trailmaster

Lightweight Trailers

Lightweight trailers are just like conventional trailers. The key difference is their weight and size. Generally speaking, lightweight trailers are less than 6,000 pounds in dry weight. They may also vary in size, but most are less than 30 feet long. The major plus of owning a lightweight trailer is that they are easy to tow, making it the perfect RV for first-timers.

Luckily, Gulfstream offers a very wide selection of lightweight RVs. With your comfort and convenience in mind, keep an eye out for these brands when in search of lightweight trailers:

  • Ameri-Lite
  • Conquest Lite
  • Envision
  • Geo
  • Gulf Breeze
  • Innsbruck Lite
  • Kingsport Lite
  • Matrix
  • Northern Express
  • Streamlite
  • Trailmaster Lite
  • Vintage Cruiser
  • Vista Cruiser

Destination Trailers

Aren’t all travel trailers destination trailers when you get right down to it? While you can make that argument, destination trailers are specifically made and designed to be parked at a campground, RV park, or other destination for an extended period of time. These trailers are easily towed and are typically self-contained, with waste-holding tanks and freshwater tanks for your convenience. So, while all your standard conventional trailers can be used for life on the go, destination trailers are built to be stationary for long periods of time.

Gulfstream offers a few models for those looking to spend their favorite season living life in the great outdoors, such as:

  • Conquest Lodge Series
  • Innsbruck Lodge Series
  • Kingsport Lodge Series
  • Trailmaster

Toy Haulers

While all toy haulers are trailers, not all trailers are toy haulers. The main distinction here is that toy haulers have a built-in “garage” for your outdoor toys, such as dirt bikes, ATVs, and motorcycles. You don’t necessarily need these things to have a toy hauler, though, as you can utilize the “garage” space for additional storage or sleeping quarters. Toy haulers are very popular with large families and outdoor enthusiasts.

Gulfstream does not have a large selection of brands that are toy haulers, offering only one: GSX.

Fifth Wheels

We mentioned before that conventional trailers and fifth wheels are alike, with just one key difference. The difference is that fifth wheels are hitched to the bed of a pickup truck and not by the hitch located on the bottom bumper of a vehicle. Because of this distinction, people looking to own a fifth wheel will need to have a capable pickup truck. Fifth wheels also tend to be heavier and a bit harder to tow than a conventional trailer.

If you’re looking to own a fifth wheel, try out Gulfstream’s Sedona brand.
